Christian High School Book Club 2011-2012

 

What:  A book club open to students from all grades

When:  One lunch meeting every other week for general book discussion

Duration:  October – April (vote for favourite)

We will be meeting with our own bi-weekly book club but will be linking via a blog to students at Durham Christian High School, King’s Christian Collegiate, London District Christian Secondary School, Smithville District Christian High School, and Woodland Christian High School.  Students will be able to post comments on the blog (Christian High School Book Club Blog) and be able to discuss the books on the reading list with those from the schools mentioned above. In March we will vote, along with the other schools, for our favourite book from the list.  Our club year culminates with an event called The Final Word which will be held at Durham Christian High School this coming spring.

Please Note:

Three copies of each book will be available from the HD library, however, depending on the number of book club members, you may need to borrow a copy from your public library if you need one that is out on loan.
