Applying to an Ontario University

 

 

  1. Research your program choices. Use www.electronicinfo.ca to view program availability, admission requirements, entry points, and addition/supplementary application materials.
  2. Log on to the www.ouac.on.ca website.
  3. Choose “Undergraduate Applications” from the toolbar
  4. Choose “Current year high school students  - 101”
  5. Click on “COMPASS account” and log in using the unique student number and PIN provided to you by Student Services
  6. Click on “Select Programs” – You can choose a university by program, geographical location, or by name.
  7. Select the desired program and “add to knapsack”
  8. Once you have filled your “knapsack” with the desired programs (three are included with the basic application fee, each additional choice incurs a supplementary fee), you can work across the toolbar at the top of the page, beginning with “program choices.”
  9. There are six steps to this part of the application:
    1. Complete you program choices
    2. Rank your choices in order of preference
    3. Verify and Edit your personal information
    4. Verify and Edit your address information
    5. Verify your academic information, including completed courses and grades, and current and projected courses.
    6. Submit
  10. Once you have submitted, you will be asked to choose a method of payment.
  11. Please remember that the application is not complete until fees have been received by OUAC.
  12. You can review and/or change your application after a short processing interval.
